An all-new tooling of one of the IJAAF's most important fighters of WWII, the Hayate. This kit is up to the high standards Hasegawa has been setting with its other recent 1/32 aircraft releases, and features recessed panel lines, incredibly detailed cockpit and engine, optional open or closed cowl flaps, optional underwing drop tanks and optional clear lenses for the position lights. Markings are for 3 aircraft based near Tokyo in 1945: the Commander's aircraft of the 3rd Sq., 47th Flight Regiment, an aircraft of the 51st Flight Regiment and an aircraft of the 101st Flight Regiment. In an interesting touch, decals are provided for the buckles on the pilot's harness straps. IJAAF and big-scale plane fans rejoice!
