This was easily Japan's best recon. plane of the war, fast and carrier-based, it could shadow American ships but was quick enough to escape if Hellcats caught its scent. Once Japan ran out of carriers, though, it was forced into the night-fighter role (C6N1-S) back home, with less spectacular results. A Myrt kill by a US Navy aviator on August 15 was the final air combat kill of WWII. When Hasegawa turns their attention to Japanese aircraft, national pride or something kicks in and they pull out all the stops. This gorgeous model, with separate flaps and precise detail everywhere you expect it, will satisfy all but the most involved detail freaks. Includes markings for two different planes. Enjoy!
