Faced with the daunting task of mixing it up with superior aircraft in all theaters of combat during WWII, the tough P-40 Warhawk in the capable hands of a well-trained pilot could do much more than just hold its own. Hasegawa has released this great P-40E kit with colorful markings for two aircraft flown by South Pacific aces, Lt. Andrew Reynolds' "Star Dust" and Lt. John D. Landers' "Texas Longhorn," both of the U.S. Army's 9th Fighter Squadron, 49th Fighter Group. The kit features Hasegawa's standard fine engraved panel lines, choice of decals or paint-it-yourself instrument panels, and choice of drop tank or 500-pound bomb.
