The LCM-3 was developed from the earlier LCM (landing Craft, Mechanized), with an elongated hull to handle heavier loads, such as tanks. Over 8,500 were built during the war. Hobby Boss enters the 1/48 scale market with a big splash! Here's their new WWII LCM-3 landing craft, sharply molded in light gray plastic with a bit of twine and brass wire thrown in to round out the details. Also includes a German anti-tank obstacle.
