1/48 F6F-3 Hellcat Early Version

Hobbyboss jumps into the 1/48 scale World War Two fighter market with this truly impressive looking kit of the Hellcat. Features detailed cockpit, engine, engine accessory compartment and landing gear, wings that can be assembled folded or spread, separate flaps, centerline drop tank of the simplified late-war style, bombs and racks and HVAR rockets (not appropriate for a -3, but good for spares!). Decals are for "2" of VF-27 in tricolor, and "30" of VF-9 in blue-gray over light gull gray (not "white" as given in the instructions!). Instructions are of the exploded-view pictorial type, with notes in English and Chinese.
