Gyoza is the Japanese version of the Chinese jiaozi (sometimes called pot stickers), which typically consists of a ground meat and/or vegetable filling wrapped into a thinly rolled piece of dough, which is then sealed by pressing the edges together or by crimping. You can find gyoza just about anywhere in Japan...and they are dee-licious!
You can even find them at HLJ, although ours aren't edible...but they do make a very unusual model kit! This all-plastic assembly kit builds into what looks exactly like a yummy set of four gyoza! Each gyoza consists of five parts that when assembled and painted will have you drooling for the real thing. Instructions are in Japanese, but assembly is easy and shouldn't be a problem at all. Just assemble two parts to make the inner "an," then surround that with the three parts of the outer gyoza skin, and assembly is complete! You'll probably want to paint the "an" first to represent the minced pork and vegetables mix used in real gyoza. Parts are molded in a semi-translucent white plastic. Dish and Saran Wrap not included!
This model kit is an HLJ original product!
