1/100 Kinkakuji 1955 Type

This kit will build into a gorgeous replica of Kinkakuji, the "Temple of the Golden Pavilion," as it appeared in 1955, being rebuilt after it had been burned down by a crazed monk in 1950. It gets its name from the real gold leaf covering most of its exterior. The kit features matt gold-plated parts that realistically recreate the look of the gold leaf. Other parts are molded in brown, white, and black, so painting is not entirely necessary to achieve a realistic look. The base is molded in gray plastic. An excellent kit of an important cultural asset!
