1/72 HSS-2B JMSDF Seaking

The HSS-2B Seaking helicopter is manufactured by Mitsubishi under license from Sikorsky Aircraft. Incorporating domestic innovations into the design, the type entered service with the JMSDF in 1980.

This is a decent kit of the venerable Seaking helicopter, sharply molded in light gray styrene with both raised and recessed panel lines, and what may be somewhat overstated rivets. Of course, the real Seaking was plastered with some fairly stout riveting itself, so these may actually be just fine for the scale. Markings included for three versions.
