1/48 F6F-3 Hellcat

An all-new Hellcat kit! (Well, new in 2008, when it came out!) Eduard really has gone all-out for Grumman Cat fans, providing detailed cockpit, engine, and landing gear, three types of cowlings (with side bulges and lower cooling flaps, with bulges but no lower cooling flaps and no bulges or cooling flaps). Since a -5 windscreen is also included, it should be possible to also build an early -5 from this kit! Photo-etched detail parts as well as canopy and wheel masks are also included. Decals are provided for five aircraft: "32" of VF-16 aboard the Lexington; "13/My Own Joan II" of VF-33 flying from Ondonga; "K/9" of VF-1 aboard the Yorktown; Vraciu's "19" of VF-6 aboard the Intrepid; and the cat-mouthed "17" of VF-27 aboard the Princeton.
