Check out this collectible series of pre-assembled, prepainted die-cast Daihatsu "Kei" cars. "Kei" in Japanese means "light," and that these cars certainly are! To get around government regulations on larger autos, Kei cars have 660cc engines, allowing them to slip into a lower tax bracket. Sneaky! Fuel economy, as you may expect, is phenomenal, with some of these little econo-buggies pushing over 60 miles per gallon. Don't ask about the 0-60 acceleration times, though...you can time 'em with a sundial. Turbocharged versions are a bit peppier, but still...these things ain't got Hemis!
The series consists of a total of nine possible variations: four colors each of the Tanto Custom and Move Custom, plus one "secret item." Each car comes on a nice base with nameplate. Sold by the randomly packed box of 10.
