The M4A2 diesel-powered welded-hull variant of the venerable Sherman medium tank saw plenty of action with the US Marines in the Pacific theater during WWII. Armed with a 75mm gun and moderately armored, Shermans dominated the light Japanese tanks they encountered in battle. Japanese anti-tank troops posed more of a problem, and Sherman crews often adapted their tanks with various materials (such as wood, nails, etc.) to counter the threat. This kit features sharply molded plastic parts with a completely new upper hull, a fret of photo-etched detail parts, a set of new "Dragon Styrene" belt-style T54E1 metal chevron-type tracks, and new decals from Cartograf to model one of seven vehicles.
