Commissioned in March of 1943, the US Navy Aircraft Carrier Belleau Wood served with distinction throughout WWII, receiving a Presidential Unit Citation and 12 battle stars. She served on well after the war, serving with the French Navy until 1960.
Dragon's Belleau Wood kit is sharply molded in light gray and clear styrene, with two comprehensive frets of photo-etched detail parts and beautiful decals by Cartograf. The ship's air wing of F6F Hellcats and TBF/M Avengers is molded in clear plastic.
