The everlasting up-gunning race in WWII reached its conclusion when the 120mm large-calibre gun was chosen as the main weapon; and Germany began to produce the Jagdtiger. This 70-ton super-heavy tank destroyer was built up with compoments from the King Tiger (Henschel turret model) then in production. Dragon's Jagdtiger was the first model of this series, released in the opposite order of the actual vehicles. It was designed by the same Japanese team (Messrs. Takada and Igarashi) who are highly regarded in light of their previous works (Stalin, Ferdinand, Panther, etc.). This kit captures all the features based on the latest research of 1995, and is regarded as the best kit ever of this tank destroyer. The molds are crisp and highly-detailed. Part of the gun mechanism around the breech is molded. A photo-etched set for engine air intake covers, base of the anti-aircraft MG, and tiny loops for attaching camouflage materials are included, too. Super-wide track links are of the injection plastic individual type. No figure included.
