Having proved its amazing battle-worthiness in the Gulf War and Operation Iraqi Freedom, the M1 family of Abrams tanks is one of the most capable modern battle systems in the world. The M1A2 SEP (System Enhancement Package) ups the ante even further with improved digital command and control capabilities and other improvements to make it an even deadlier adversary in battle.

Dragon has taken its extraordinary M1A1 AIM kit and added a flurry of newly tooled parts to create this SEP version of the the M1A2 Abrams. New parts for this kit include the commander's independent thermal viewer, commander's cupola, bustle rack extension, workable tow bar assembly, newly designed front fenders, and many other new and improved details. The 120mm main gun is rendered as a multi-piece metal and plastic unit (with an internal spring to recreate realistic hand-assisted recoil! Boom!), and tracks are flexible "Dragon Styrene" belts (guide horns are separate injection-molded parts and must be glued to the tracks one by one). The anti-slip surfaces are molded on, and clear parts are provided for the lights, optics, and even for the transparent oil caps on the road wheels. Photo-etched metal detail parts, wire cable, and Cartograf decals for six different versions are included. Startling detail is present throughout this amazing kit, making it one of the most accurate and complete models of the Abrams around!
