The M1A1 HA (Heavy Armor) is the fortified (with depleted uranium armor) version of theUS M1A1 Abrams MBT, first deployed just before the Gulf War in 1991. This kit depicts the variation which was deployed to the US Marine Corps; thus the special equipment like the fording unit (air intake pipes), Auxiliary Power Unit on the turret rear bustle and USMC candle-type smoke dischargers, used in USMC operations, are included. Kit also has simple interior parts for the turret and driver's compartment, where seen through hatches. Tracks are of injection plastic separate link type.
