The "Scud B" is well known by people simply as the "Scud", due to the media having spread its name widely during and since the Gulf War of 1991. This Russian self-propelled missile launcher consists of an R-17 short range ballistic missile and an MAZ-543 8x8 transporter, elector/launcher (TEL). The kit is one of Dragon's earliest products; the moldings are fine but it has some problems with the parts fit. Strengthening of the axels is very important to support the weight of the model. A great degree of care and modeling skill is required to complete it but it will be worth the effort. The massive 38cm long vehicle is tremendously impressive.
