This is the second ship of the United States Navy to be named for the five Sullivan brothers, who lost their lives when their ship, the USS Juneau, was sunk by a Japanese submarine in November 1942 during the Battle of Guadalcanal. The Sullivans is currently in service with the US Navy and is stationed at NS Mayport, Florida.
Dragon/Cyber-Hobby's 1/350 kit of the Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer The Sullivans is a full-hull model, and includes a stand with nameplate. The kit also includes photo-etched metal detail parts for railings and other details, plus decals for The Sullivans and nine other Arleigh Burke-class destroyers (DDG-59 Russel, DDG-60 Paul Hamilton, DDG-61 Ramage, DDG-65 Benfold, DDG-62 Fitzgerald, DDG-66 Gonzalez, DDG-63 Stetham, DDG-67 Cole, and DDG-64 Carney).
