Cannabis Works

Game character and anime designs by Tanaka Tatsuyuki fill this hard-cover volume; only a very few of them are monochrome. Tanaka's distinguished and very detailed style, as well as his palette choices, make this a fascinating art book; it's full of life and technology, people and robots curiously blended in a seamless combination. In the middle of it is a pair of illustrations of Bob Sapp (that were printed on T-shirts), and a few pages of Moomins; throughout the whole volume, despite these two exceptions, is a definite darkness that's difficult to describe.
