The Yukikaze was the eighth ship of the Kagero-class destroyers and was the only ship out of its 19 sister ships to survive WWII. The Kagero-class were the latest IJN fleet destroyers, with improved speed, longer cruise range, and more powerful armament. Aoshima's new kit meets today's molding standards and the design itself reflects recent research, depicting the ship's final form in 1945, looking like a hedgehog, with many AA guns installed. This kit builds into a full-hull model.
