The M41A2 is the early-model M41 converted with a new fuel injection system. The kit presented is the model used by the Japan Ground Self Defense Force (JGSDF). Parts are molded in OD plastic and are highly detailed. The gun barrel is made of lathed aluminum. Tracks are the rubber belt type. The typical square-edged track guard ends are photo-etched brass. Five sets of decals for JGSDF units are included. (AFV Club's extra detail-up photo-etched brass parts set for the M41 series, AFV35008, is sold separately.)
