Academy's very nice 1/48 scale F4U-1D Corsair. While the "big T" kit is unquestionably the best out there, this kit is a decent runner-up and a better price! Includes open and closed cowl flap parts, tall and short tailwheel struts, paddle-blade and thin-blade propellers, drop tanks and bombs. Decals are provided for USMC Maj. "Pappy" Boyington's "Lulubelle" (actually an F4U-1A, not a -1D) and a VF-84 F4U-1D off the Bunker Hill during the Tokyo raids.
