The Cutty Sark was a fast sailing ship built for transporting precious tea leaves swiftly from China to London, before the aroma faded. The kit is a large (about 50cm long) model ship with very fine details. Sails are made with thin vacuum-formed plastic sheets. Three reels of fine thread are provided for the several ropes and rigging supporting the masts. Almost half of the 23-page building instruction booklet is devoted to rope knots. That's very helpful!
