1/800 USS CVN-70 Carl Vinson

Academy's 1/800 Nimitz-class carrier model was tooled in 1989 before the company had learned some of the fine points of scale model making: detail is very sparse on and though this is a good base, a serious scale modeler is going to want to be prepared to do a lot of detail work, or look elsewhere if they hope to finish a great piece. But at this price, it's hard to complain too loudly.
