One of the quickest sailing vessels ever built, the clipper Cutty Sark represents the most romantic age in nautical history. Launched in 1869, the Cutty Sark spent most of her time transporting goods around the world. She nows rests in Greenwich, England. Academy's kit of the Cutty Sark features fantastic detail and sharp molding. The sails are nicely made of thin vacu-formed plastic, which will need to cut from the sheet for assembly. Thread for rigging is also included, as is a nice stand with nameplate. Decals are included for the intricate gold sections around the stern. This is a completely new tooling of the grand old ship!
