The original release of the Academy Helldiver was a very, very nice kit. But this "special edition" release goes one better: photoetched dive brakes! Yes, you read that right: Academy has teamed up with Eduard to offer their kit with a sheet of Eduard photoetch in the box. Plus, this release also features a full set of pre-cut yellow-tape masks for the canopy and wheels. But wait, there is yet more! New Cartograf decals are included for three aircraft: "207" of VB-83 aboard the USS Essex in April 1945; "214" of VB-84 on the USS Bunker Hill in March 1945; and a US Coast Guard rescue plane from Kaneohe in December 1945.
