1/72 F-89 D Scorpion

A very nicely done model of America's first purpose-designed night and all-weather interceptor. And surprisingly big! Includes a very nicely detailed cockpit, with lots of raised detail, nicely done landing gear and recessed panel lines throughout. Markings are for two aircraft, the sharkmouthed "'A' the Texan" shown in the box art,resplendent in its "arctic red" recognition paint, or a plainer aircraft that still features large yellow lightning bolts and stars on the wingtip pods. Here's hoping Academy release more of the Scorpion family in the near future!
