Limited-production items are one-time releases from manufacturers. This includes many action figures and model kits where only the decals or a few parts are changed to create a variation of a previous kit.
If you place an order for an item like this and our online order status system tells you it is backordered, please remain patient. If the item has been produced relatively recently, there is still a good chance we can locate more stock for you from one of our distributors. If, however, your backorder on a limited production item remains in place for more than two months or so, you should probably consider looking elsewhere for the item, or giving up altogether. If we become convinced that more stock is going to be impossible to find, we will change the item's status in our catalog to out-of-production.
