Using the clear decal sheets
Making the Decals
-
Inside the bag you'll find "print sheets" and "film labels." Print on the "print" surface of the print sheet. (The print surface is plain white and semi-gloss, the reverse side is matte and features three wavy lines. Print on the plain white side.)
-
When printing, set the printer to "Reverse Image" or "Mirror Image." The setting name will differ from printer to printer, so please confirm.
On printers with no "Reverse Image" setting, please set it to "T-Shirt Transfer Paper" if available.
-
After printing the design on the sheet, dry the sheet with a hair dryer for at least one minute. Do not touch the printed surface of the sheet. When using a hair dryer, set it to low heat and be cautious of setting the sheet on fire.
Drying times will vary from printer to printer and based on the design printed, so be sure the sheet is dry. Caution: if the sheet is not completely dry, the film label's glue will not properly transfer.
(See list of printers and their proper settings listed below.)
-
Peel off the backing of the film label (see 1,2,3 below) and apply the film label to the printed surface of the print sheet.
- Peel off the thin strip on one side of the backing paper of the film label.
- Apply the film label sticky side down on one edge of the printed sheet, taking care to get it on straight.
- Now pull off the rest of the backing paper from the film label, and smooth it down on top of the printed side of the print sheet. Once it's all on, firmly smooth it down on top of the printed sheet. Now the transfer seal is complete!
*After affixing the film label to the transfer sheet, set it aside for a while to let the adhesive become established.
Applying the Decals
-
Using a sharp hobby knife or scissors, carefully cut out the printed design, leaving only about 1mm or 2mm of material around the edges.
-
Very carefully peel off the film label. (Removing this exposes the adhesive that has transferred to the design)
-
Apply the design sticky-side down (paper side up) on the surface you want to apply it to. Lightly rub it down.
-
Using a very wet tissue or rag, push down on the design, making sure the paper backing gets saturated with water.
-
Once sufficiently wet, the paper backing should slide off. Wipe off any excess water, and you're done!

-
The types listed above are all inkjet printers.
-
*Any type of printer that does not have a "reverse image" setting should be set to "T-Shirt Transfer Paper."
Cautions for Use
-
This set is for use with inkjet printers only. Do not use with non-inkjet printers.
-
Make sure the surface you are going to apply a decal to is dry, clean, and smooth. For rough surfaces, be sure to press the decal into the surface well enough for it to conform to the roughness.
-
Do not strongly rub or wash the decals once applied, as they may come off.
