You have shipped part of my order but I have not requested shipping!

HobbyLink Japan ships orders to customers when any one of three things occur:

  • Everything on an individual order is in stock.
  • Two months pass from the time an order was placed, and at least one item is in stock.
  • You request shipping of available items.

In order to keep the number of shipments to a minimum, and help keep our customers shipping costs as low as possible, whenever one of the above conditions exists, we also check all the other orders that customer has with us. Anything from these orders that are also in stock are then shipped together.

Some customers are willing to wait longer than two months for backordered items before a partial shipment. While we understand this, it means that other, shippable items may end up sitting on our shelves for months waiting for backordered things to come in. Unfortunately, our cash flow is not unlimited, and it is very difficult for us to finance this stock (we have to pay for these items shortly after we receive them!). That's why we ask our customers to please take what is available after a two-month wait. We feel that this is the best balance between our customers' need to keep shipping costs down, and our need to be able to pay our suppliers for what we buy. We hope you can appreciate our position on this.
